# About ChosenByAgent

ChosenByAgent is an independent testing service that measures how AI assistants and shopping agents choose between platforms, sellers and brands — for marketplaces, the sellers on them, and brands.

## What we do

AI assistants and shopping agents now choose for buyers at several points in a row: which platform or store to open, which listing and seller to show inside it, which product to pick, and how to act on the deal. We test those choices for the companies that compete at each point — marketplaces and classifieds, the professional sellers on them, and brands with their own stores.

## Testing, not another AI-visibility dashboard

Monitoring tools count how often a brand is mentioned in assistant answers. We run the buyer’s path itself: repeated runs per question, live checks of every listing an assistant recommends, agents walking your store to the payment page, and manual calibration in the consumer apps. Every result is stamped with the model, the harness version and the date, and every report says what it does not claim. The method is described in full on the [method page](/method).

## Independence

- We are paid by the companies we measure for. AI assistant and model vendors never pay us, and we take no fees for placement or for influencing what agents choose.
- A marketplace and the sellers on it can both be our clients. A seller receives only their own results.
- A marketplace never receives the results of an individual seller without that seller’s consent, and has no say in them.
- The method is the same for every client, whoever pays.
- We do not name prospects as clients or show logos without agreement.
