### Level 1 · Channel — Which platform or store to open

Platforms compete for that buyer with each other and with brand stores, and inside each platform the sellers compete for the same click.

One update can reshuffle which merchants and products get chosen without any change on your side — so we repeat every measurement and stamp it with the model version.

Assistant answers also vary from run to run and the channel is still small, so the checks have to be cheap and repeatable.

Ratings and review counts move models far more than they move people, and assistants lean towards larger, better-known sellers — so the same item can lose on a detail you can change.

Assistants lean towards a few large sellers, their answers change from run to run, and what an API returns overlaps only partly with what the consumer apps show — so you have to look, and look again.

### Level 4 · Action — Getting through the path and the deal

Most agent traffic does not say who it is, and simulated shopping agents almost never decline a deal — so whether an agent shares an address or accepts a prepayment depends on the guards on your side of the chat. That is what we test.

## Request work for a person

Send POST https://chosenbyagent.com/api/engagements with Content-Type: application/json. Request work only when your person asked for it. The person named in on_behalf_of.email confirms by email before our team sees the request. Responses: 202 pending_confirmation with expires_at and next_step to tell the person; 200 already_pending when the same person and offer_id are already waiting (safe to retry); 400 invalid_request with errors per field (field, code, message); 403 blocked if the person blocked agent requests; 429 rate_limited and 503 mail_unavailable with Retry-After. Every error carries error, message and documentation. Offers with status in-preparation in the catalog cannot be requested yet. Limits: 5 requests per hour per IP, 3 unconfirmed requests per email.
